Comfort Angelz Waltham Cross

Rooms
  • All our rooms are newly designed and refurnished. When the time comes for your little Angel to move from one room to another, we will set up settling-in sessions for each child and will allow you to visit their new rooms before they move over.

All rooms have allocated timed sessions for outdoor activities for the children.

  • Buttercups0 - 24 Months

Our Buttercup room is bright and spaciously decorated with your little Angels in mind!

Children are able to eat, play and explore throughout the open environment provided and have activity time without the disruption of any older children. We offer a separate sleeping room with individual cots for all babies.

Our daily routine is visible for all staff and parents to see within the room

Our Buttercups room offers a huge range of toys and activities which are planned daily referring to their developmental milestones set by EYFS guidelines to ensure all children are being stimulated at all times.

Within the Buttercup room, we encourage lots of creative play, arts and crafts activities and loads of fun singing and dancing activities.

All children are also taken on daily walks, attend library story times weekly and taken to the local park next door to the nursery daily as staff create a safe secure play area supporting the development of their physical development.

  • Poppies2 - 3 Years

The term after your child turns 2 years old, they will move into our Poppies Room. We have an open plan room for Buttercups and Poppies with a gate separating them, this helps children to transition a little easier as children can become familiar with staff that are in the Poppies Room before moving up.

Our Poppies room offers many activities daily including a quiet area, sensory area and a messy play area that keeps the children happy and stimulated throughout the day.

Our staff in Poppies will encourage and support the children’s independent individual learning styles through play as well as introducing with the support of each parent potty training. We have easily accessible toilets within the Poppies room to support and encourage children through their potty training stages.

All activities are constantly being tailored to each child’s development using the EYFS.

Our Poppies room will encourage your child’s development, which is monitored and reported to all parents daily using EYFS pathway profile and a copy of this will be transferred from room to room.

We use the local park/green situated next door to our nursery for our physical development and outdoor experiences. We have a range of outdoor equipment that will help children to develop all the skills they need for example: – a mini beast box where children can explore with magnifying glasses and capture bugs and insects.
